Glucoteck® Technology

Product Manufacturing Facility for Joint Care

What is it?

Glucotek® technology creates an embryonic environment around the active drug molecule and continually changes how it interacts with the different layers of the skin as it trans-migrates down to the affected joint.

Why is it Special?

The Glucotek® Trans-Dermal Delivery System is unique in the sense that it contains a distinctive balance of ingredients (both active and complementary) in a stable emulsion matrix that diffuses seamlessly through the skin. What this means is that we are able to deliver higher concentrations of active ingredients to the blood stream quicker, providing faster and more potent relief for you, the patient.

Why Trans-dermal Application vs. Oral Ingestion?

Glucosamine sulfate has been used orally for the treatment of osteoarthritis since the early 1980's.
Most currently available glucosamine-based drugs and supplements are taken orally at high dosages (typically 1500 mg daily). When Glucosamine is taken orally, 90% is digested and used up as carbohydrates, and only a minute fraction eventually gets to the joints where it is needed.
Moreover, the high oral dose of Glucosamine is not advisable for diabetic prone patients.

Glucosamine sulfate and its cousin glucosamine hydrochloride are both acidic compounds. Their long term use is a necessity to compensate a deficit in the production of cartilage of the body. However their inherent acidity may cause a painful inflammatory process in the bowel that requires medical therapy.
